 Jiangsu Shagang International Trade Co., Ltd. (Shagang ITC) is a general import & export trading company engaged in exploration & mining of mineral resources, import and export of metallurgical equipment, spare parts and steel products, ocean shipping of dry bulk cargos and logistics as well as overseas investment.
Approved by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation as the “Import & Export Enterprise of the People’s Republic of China”, the Company was founded in 2002 from its Import & Export Department of Jiangsu Shagang Group Co., Ltd. and now it is one of the core subsidiaries of the Group.
In recent years, along with the overall development of Shagang Group, Shagang ITC has taken up further expansion through its internationalization program taking the steel sector as its core business and servicing the sector in line with its development. We are striving for greater progress through innovative and creative notions.
Shagang ITC has one office & five departments, namely general manager office, Raw Material Trading Dep, Equipment Trading Dep, Steel Trading Dep, Mining Investment Dep and Financial Dep. It has four subsidiaries & one representative office overseas, namely Shagang South Asia Company, Shagang (Singapore) Pte. Ltd, Shagang Mining (Australia) Pty Ltd, Shagang Shipping (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd, and Shagang Seoul Office. Well-established management, marketing and distribution network has laid a solid foundation for a notable achievement in 2007 with a turnover of USD3.0 billion in its import and export business. Shagang ITC has become one of the largest I&E enterprises in Jiangsu Province.
Backed by Shagang Group and its members, Shagang ITC has established a long-term and broad strategic relationship with its customers and suppliers at home and abroad to the mutual benefits of all the partners. So far, Shagang ITC has trading partners in over 40 countries and regions, imports goods and materials from around 80 manufacturers and traders, exports its products to some 100 end-users and traders and has formed cooperative partnership with a dozen or so of mining companies. Shagang ITC boasts itself as “doing business all over the world while making friends with all walks of life”, which is the essence and assurance in its rapid development and expansion.
